The 2007 Macgrove Project (Project or Fund) is a managed investment scheme providing investors (Growers) the opportunity to participate in growing macadamias. The Fund is closed to new investment.
The Rural Funds Group (RFF) acquired the land where the Project is conducted after a meeting of Growers in the Project voted to appoint Rural Funds Management Limited (RFM) to become the Responsible Entity in early 2016. Fund overview
RFM is the responsible entity for the Project. Located a short drive outside of Bundaberg in Queensland, the Project comprises two mature orchards; Swan Ridge and Moore Park. RFM is a Grower in the Project with 79 of the total 579 Groves, which aligns the interests of the Responsible Entity, landlord and Growers participating in the project. RFM’s almond farming expertise will be leveraged to maximise farming outcomes on the properties.

Assets & Operations.
The two orchards (234 ha) are leased to a tax effective managed investment scheme (MIS), managed by RFM. Growers are entitled to the macadamia nuts harvested on each ‘grove’ which represents approximately 0.4 ha in size. Harvesting occurs over several months from March to September as the nuts fall from the trees. They are dehusked on-farm and then transported to a processing facility located just a few kilometres from Swan Ridge and 12 kilometres from Moore Park.
