Rural Funds Management Limited (RFM) is an experienced fund and asset manager that specialises in Australian agriculture.
RFM manages a diverse portfolio of large-scale farming and agricultural enterprises for a large number of investors who seek the opportunity to diversify their portfolios away from the traditional equity and property markets. Our primary assets are in land, water, infrastructure, poultry, viticulture, cotton, almonds and livestock.
Our large-scale agricultural operations benefit from economies of scale, experienced and educated staff, proper supplies of capital, sophisticated commodity markets and modern farm technologies and equipment. This allows RFM to provide competitive returns from an alternative asset class for our investors.
Established in 1997, RFM is the responsible entity for ten agricultural investment funds and as of 30 June 2011, had approximately $290m of agricultural assets under management in New South Wales, South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania and Western Australia.

Good people are identified and retained to maximise the potential of these assets. The RFM asset and fund management team consist of specialist fund managers, viticulturists, livestock managers, agronomists and land acquisition specialists. This team provides RFM with the specialised skills and experience required to manage the funds and the agricultural assets in which they invest.
RFM boasts some of Australia's best farm managers, who are retained using performance incentives to align their interests with those of investors. Senior farm managers generally have tertiary qualifications, more than ten years experience in hands-on farm management and possess extensive networks in their field.
An experienced and dedicated senior management team in RFM’s head office supports the farm managers and their staff.
