Forest Enterprises Australia (FEA) Update

Earlier this year, Rural Funds Management Ltd (“RFM”) submitted a proposal to restructure the FEA Group of entities and the 1999 to 2009 managed investment schemes (“FEA Schemes”). 

RFM has endeavored to raise equity from a number of sources but has been unsuccessful due to several external economic events occurring since our original proposal was submitted, and the complexities of the transaction.

RFM is continuing to have discussions with equity investors, however it is likely that there is now insufficient time to complete a transaction before further action is taken by the Receivers to wind up the FEA Schemes.
